Rock'n' Baby

A funny thing happened on the way Katie's house this morning. Hyrum was having a great morning. He was happy and giggling and was very patient while I got ready for work. Then when it was time to go, I packed him into his car seat and we hit the open road. I turned on the radio which was playing a David Archuleta song. A few seconds into the song Hyrum started crying in the back seat for no apparent reason. He usually loves car rides. I figured I could maybe get him to settle down if I changed the song that was playing. So I got out a CD that has a mix of songs I made. The first song to play was Smash Mouth's "All star". Immediately Hyrum stopped crying. The song finished and the next one was a softer song from a musical I like. Again Hyrum starts to speak up in the back. So I skip forward to the next song which is "Dancing Queen" by Abba. Once again the sounds from the back seat stop. So for the rest of the ride we just jammed out to any of the rock music I had on that CD. Who knew kids developed a musical preference so early in life. Now I know that I have one Rock'n' Baby.

Five Months and Fabulous

Hyrum is now Five months old and wanted to show how big he is getting and of course how cute he is too. This time has gone by so fast but it has been so thrilling to watch my little boy grow and learn. He can now hold things, roll over, and make all sorts of cute baby noises. My favorite has to be his laugh. It just makes all the troubles of the world melt away as he shares with me the simple joy he finds in playing tug of war with a burp rag. (tell me again why we spent money on toys when his favorite thing to play with is a piece of cloth?)
Enjoy the pictures! He's over 16 pounds and 26 inches

Likes to be propped up so he can sit like a big boy and seems to favor sucking on his left hand.
Too funny not to add
Million dollar Smile

Day at the museum

Mainly Hyrum just sat back and enjoyed looking at the exhibits from the comfort of his stroller but Grandma couldn't resist the chance to capture a few moments on film.
And here is proof that my mom is the quickest photographer in the west. She was able to catch all the stages of a sneeze so that we can cherish them for ever.Getting Ready for it....

Execution of the sneeze....

Ahhh...that felt good

Hyrum's Special Day

Today my husband Robbie was able to give our son Hyrum a name and a blessing. The blessing was so sweet and wonderful. Though Robbie was nervous he did a great job. And Hyrum looked stunning in his blessing suit.

All the family was there full of love and support.
